Huh, never heard of this guitar before. Is there a picture of this one? He used it at the O2 a few times. You ever see the video on 3121 where he done Anotherlover/Peach and Joy In Repetition? Thats the guitar he used for that, and I saw him use it for Peach as well at The 02. He gets some mental distortions out of it Is it possible we're talking about a Stratocaster rather than a telecaster? I'm fairly sure he only played 'joy in repetition' once at the main shows at the O2 (and once/possibly twice at an aftershow) on the 14th of august...and he was playing a stratocaster, not a telecaster.

Smaller venue prince shows are more eclectic. That's how it is. Anyway, he just went on the most "general public" TV show ever and played a brand new song. "What kind of fuck ending is that?"

11:36 PM PDT on Saturday, April 26, 2008 By VANESSA FRANKO The Press-Enterprise http://www.pe.com/reports...4b4e2.html When Prince stepped onto the stage, everyone in the packed audience at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival knew they were witnessing Coachella history, and the crowd erupted into applause and cheers accordingly. The stage was filled with fog as he took it, about 25 minutes late, dressed in a flowing white suit. Festival promoter Paul Tollett said he has been wanting to get Prince to play the festival for years. At one point, Sheila E joined Prince on stage and sang her hit, "Glamourous Life." After 20 minutes of a Morris Day and Sheila E. reunion with Prince on the guitar, he launched into 1999. Too bad he's a dick & we can't watch it online. I'm firmly planted in denial

It would be nice to know little secrets as to what he eats to look so good. His diet definately seems to be pure, like low sodium, vegetarian, low sugar, lots of protein.Perhaps protein shakes? Does he workout, or just dance alot?
Sorry, just can't help mySELF....just curious! Anyhow, thanks for the report and pictures. I'm sure it was yet another nite in Prince history to remember. p.s. How about a NPG cookbook! Beauty secrets! [Edited 4/27/08 11:47am]

Serge, thanks so much for rounding up the pictures and posting them here. Nice work as always!
Prince looks....shit I'm speechless...delicious...beautiful...nope, not strong enough to describe how EXCELLENT he looks. I'd love to hear the cover of Creep. I've not been to a show where Morris Day hits the stage and one of my all time favorite songs EVER is "Glamorous Life" so Sounds like it was a fun night! Hope it makes it to dvd I'm firmly planted in denial

One of the many Prince contradictions that I just can't get: Why the fuck does he get all pissy with people doing covers of his songs, but he has no problem doing covers of other artists?????

I was thinking the same thing! He talks about this on the beautiful strange video in the interview with Mel B. He basically says he's happy for people to do covers of his songs if they're doing it becasue they want to, but not happy if they're doing it because a record company/manager has told them to do it as a career move... or something like that...it seemed fair enough to me

thanks for all the pix...we saw every band on this stage from the rail...on "Come Together" he walked to his far right past us as he soloed then on the way back he stopped directly in front of us to drive us wild...as far as the set-list i think it worked extremely well because all the first-timers heard a guitar great (think HOF, but for a whole show)
