Based on the lyrics of the first part, I wonder if he'll be doing another spiritual album then? Though, he's known to throw in a spiritual song in most of his non-spiritual albums as well.

I think it's likely that he recorded any second version when he recorded the original 'The Work'. It's not like Prince to re-tread old ground (admittedly, there is his 95 - ? - version of 'Starfish & Coffee').

Otherwise, why call it 'Part 1' in the first place? He must've had another idea at the time.

shoudn't it be called "The Hype" part ...? That newz is about as exciting as grooving to "The Human Body Remix" from last years club offerings..

My thoughts on "Part 1" is that this spiritual idea of doing "The Work" is a something we do in our daily lives, a process we take toward accomplishing something, and like The Celestine Prophecy, once we've grasped the first insight, it's now time to go to the second part or insight. I guess we'll find out, and he may prove me wrong. Post the lyrics here if/when anyone gets 'em.

Personally I love The Work pt 1. I'd love to hear an extended version, like he did with Scandalous or I Wish U Heaven.
