princes new digs

Prince, who played at last weekend's Coachella festival, is renting a Beverly Hills home for $200,000 a month. The 30,000 square-foot Tuscan style home was developed by George Santopietro and is also on the market for $50 million. The listing for the home: "An amazing Italian Villa designed by renowned architect William Hablinski. Superbly located on two plush acres in Beverly Park, this 9BR, 14BA villa features a grand screening room & wine basement built for kinds & many other remarkable features."

Thank goodness, there's a wine cellar. I wondered where he'd store the strippers.

i guess when you're as mercurial as prince is, you don't get a lot of use from being a homeowner...

Gives TOTALLY new meaning to the phrase "nice place to visit but I wouldn't wanna live there..."

Funny, it looks a lot like the place from The Godfather, you know, the scene with the horse head...

I sorta agree. anand who else lives there with him??? how much house does one guy use???

do the band members stay with him? if so, then maybe. I can see the tax write off tho and if he has the money..... shrug I just wish he could share some cash or time or a job for those less fortunate. ..seriously. lol

I get the business "write-off" thing....The only issue and I'm sure (hope) Prince has thought through is the last house he rented (that I know of - 3121?).....It seems that he loves to "personalize" everything (like painting a house purple?) He's gotten into trouble with that in the past.....I bet he's got that covered this time.... beautiful house!!! talk about "heaven"!!

$200,000 a month is $2.4 million a year!
He could buy it and own it in 30 years for less!

I was about to say something similar. P is a very smart man and this is a great tax write off.

Um, The twins got into the wine cellar that's why they aren't on tour.

Try to look at it as Rent (Lease) with an option to buy if that helps..... Just can't see Prince locking in on any one place for 30yrs with the way Real Estate is right now.... They are lucky to be renting the place...nobody is buying in a sinking market....he's too smart 4 that.

I don't know about that 200k per month thing, all I would need is about 2 weeks vacation there. I'm no stalker but does anyone know if they have extreamly high or electric gates & what about dogs??? I'm more than sure it's a gated community damn! I was just thinking about where I should vacation next. I couuld just camp out by the pool or the firepit in a duffle bag and roast some marsh mellows, I won't even bother anyone. When I get hungry I just need access to the kitchen and the bathroom with the jacuzzi. Hell that's just about all I need oh & a nice bottle of wine.
I'm just a junky for the sound.

Yeah!
I'm a jokester most of the time, knowing P he's got security locked down on that place. I can dream & wait for an invite though or I can be very adventurous for once and see how fast I can get my a#! arrested.
