lol they guy dancing is Steven Colbert and he's an AMerican talk show host, the older dude is something to do with the Smithsonian

what is smithsonian? sorry im popularculturally ignorant most of the time!! biggrin

The Smithsonian Institution (www.si.edu) is the United States' National Museum system. It is comprised of several museums including: The National Portrait Gallery, The National Air & Space Museum, The Natural History Museum, The National Museum of the American Indian, etc. This was a segment where Steven Colbert went to one of the Smithsonians (I forget which one) and I believe the other guy is the Director of the Museum (either that or a curator).

(My friend works for the Smithsonian.)

I was just saying this in chat the other day and I guess nobody commented on it lurking

A) I agree. Stop making those kinds of threads. They keep getting locked. I'm aware that the thread quality isnt great right now, but this isn't going to help.

and

B) Chilli, I'm still getting over the Colbert footage falloff
omg... makes me almost wanna die of embarassment.

Not so much that its Stephen Colbert doing to "When Doves Cry"
It's just very odd and other-worldly when my worlds collide like that. Watching his show is one of my other common interests at present and him colliding with Prince world is a bit weird.

rolleyes this is coming from the person who told a guest from Rolling Stone magazine "What has he [Prince] done lately?"
though I enjoy the show so much that I'm willing to overlook his ignorance wink

Colbert is never that serious, he's usually just making smart ass cracks lol hug

falloff I know he's never really serious. I've been watching him for a bit longer than I've been listening to Prince lol
I'll say this, though. There are some parts of it that are ridiculous, but his book "I am America and so can you" is pretty good thumbs up!
a lot of it, when u think about it, makes a lot of sense.

It's just strange when my worlds collide sometimes lol
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Couldn't you condense your "He's so beautiful", "He's so fine" , " I wish I could make him mi-i-ine" threads into one?

Thank you neutral
