Have u ever bought someting because U saw Prince with it in a movie or a video clip?

WHen I first saw Purple Rain when it came out there is a scence where Prince is eating a bag of Doritos.....I sooo badly wanted them right then ( Hey I was only 14) The problem was we didnt have Doritos in Australia


Many, many many years later ( I think the 90's) when Doritos came here I damn near jumped on a bag just to try them because of the movie...

No wonder he was eating them I looooove Doritios and I would fight him for a bag of them

When I was 16, I bought a long purple vintage coat without buttons...I still have it. And when I was 26, I bought another long Purple coat. Not sure i ever brought anything cos i saw prince with it, but after watching one of his movies once i did (as a laugh) give the then-current girlfriend one of those appalling prince Trademark: 'sloppy, fucktard, semi-spazzo droolly demented fish-kisses' that he so disturbingly performed in Purple Rain and Cherry Moon...

Oh gosh, I'm guilty of a few puchases.

I bought a pair of sunnies that looked like his Versace shades (because I'll buy real ones if he comes in the box with them!)

I bought purple eyeshadow because he wore it .

I wear lace gloves because he wore them.

I bought a pair of heart shaped mirror earrings, because they reminded me of the mirrored heart Prince wore on his suit during the SOTT era.

(Somebody stop me!)

I even have a doll that looks like that little monkey puppet that Prince had in PR!

I wouldn't buy something just because I saw Prince had it, but I might buy something that Prince had if I liked what it was.

1. I brought a necklace with a mirrored heart on it because he wore those mirror hearts during the and SOTT era(or was it the Lovesexy era... ), anyway... i took the heart and glued it to one of my black bangles to look like the bracelet he wore during that era.

2. I brought a pair of boots because they reminded me of the type of boots Prince would wear.

3. I brought two pairs of lace gloves, one white pair and one black pair.

4. I brought a light blue robe with clouds on it because it reminded me of the suit he wore in the Raspberry Beret video.

5. I also brought a shirt with the words, "EROTIC CITY come alive" on it.

Annnnnd... that's about it(for now).

Oh yeah, and I always have a red lollipop in my purse or my mouth, because Prince stay eating those red lollipops.

I went through the whole single hoop earring phase....for about a day.

Couldn't stand the 7000 "uh...you're missing an earring" comments every 1 second.

Like, it's a rather LARGE earring, I think I'd know if it were missing!

I still want some diamonds and pearls, but hey, i've always wanted them
