Like him or Loathe him u cannot deny that Prince is the reason u came here nod
Yes I know Ben created the org, but that's because he was a Prince fan as also lol
Every single one of us joined this fan site and many others to come and discuss Prince and his music and in doing so many people across the Globe have been able to come and chat with people they might not have met otherwise spoken to because of many different factors such as shyness, not being able to leave the country or even their own home for whatever reason and he has reached many people regaurdless of age, race, religion, sexual oritention or otherwise
Now I know there are other artists that have bought people together as well, but Prince is one of the biggest catalysts as far as music goes. His music over the years has reached many people across the globe because of its uniqueness and even though some of us oldies may have become a bit jaded, it obvious his music still has some sort of impact because new fans pop up on an almost daily basis.
So whether u are a sycophant lol or not, u came here because u of Prince and I have no doubt that, no matter who u are or what ure opinion of him is , u have been able to find at least one other person who shares ure views not just on Prince, but many other topics of life. SO many people have come here from across the Globe and forged close relationships with other people they would most likely have never come across otherwise and been able to share ideas and even help others in some small way, and hey even have a decent argument with
I have met many awsome and beautiful people in this Prince site alone, and I love talking to so many people from around the world , heck I even like the arguemnts :lol:Im pretty sure that if it was not for Prince and the affect his music had on me I would not have gotten to know some of the people I have now...

Actually I wouldnt mind betting Prb and I would be sitting in our Houses here in Tasmania, Australia all by ourselves while the kids and the hubbys are out of the house sobbing into our coffee cups (okay, so that was an over exaggeration falloff)
but u get my point.

So I would like to thank Prince for his music hug and for the people I have met along the way, and the people I will meet because of his music and his impact in the future.....

But if u ever tell me I cant post pics of my symbol tattooo's again, be sure I will fly to the USA nad kick ure purple behind!!!!

I came here originally so I could learn about Prince from the people that know him best: the people that have listened to his music for years, some even for as long as he's been around. From these people, I've learned so much about the newest artist in my large collection of music. Thanks to some of them, he's now the artist that makes up the largest part of my collection.

It's difficult sometimes to listen to how some of the old-school people loathe him for some of the "poor" decisions he's made (i.e. changing his sound, still playing the hits, releasing [insert album name here]). I agree that Prince isn't perfect, but when people say he annoys them when he doesn't act exactly the way they want him to, it tends to get on my nerves when I see things the exact opposite.

What's great, though, is that we can agree to disagree. Some people aren't crazy about certain albums, I can understand why that might be, but their opinions don't change mine.

As an artist, Prince has made me see so many different things. I never saw music as something created by an artist for their own purposes... to get their thoughts down in a way that they can sort through and understand them. Though I'm sure other artists have that in common with him, Prince is the one who stood out to me above the rest... there's always been something special about him. I'd known of him for a couple of years, but only recently did I give his music a chance. I had no idea how much I was going to learn about him and how much his music would change the way I looked at life.

This place is the best place to grow as a fan because people here have been places I haven't and I can learn from them about the music. Most often, I'll say that a certain song say this to me and chances are some people know what I'm talking about. With a few exceptions, my opinions are rarely looked at as other-worldly or insane the way that non-fans would. They don't understand him the way that the people here do.

I say, who better to learn about Prince from the people that know him best?

thumbs up! cheers the prince.org members

eek .... and in one sentence please Dreamy? hug
