in addition to greatness of the song itself, i think it compliments his more famous synth pop side of his music as his harder rock and guitar riff based work seems to be overlooked.

in a way its maybe a good thing...its a hidden gem for us true fans to experience, and its a great song to whip out just to show off prince's class to any non-believers.
Wouldn't you love to love me?

similarly, i've tended to neglect 'For You' and the other day i was listening to 'Im Yours', the guitar on that is pretty damn good, Prince should resurrect this a la 'Bambi'.

Now you know he would have to change the lyrics, but it really doesn't need lyrics.

I really love the song "Bambi" and the lyrics are outdated.

Yeah! I've always wanted a remake of I'm Yours since I heard the new Bambi in 1990 on the Nude Tour.

The other remake I love is Sister on the Lovesexy show.

I still think its hilarious that he did Bambi as one of the songs he performed on the Ellen show! Ha, ha! He's such a cheeky little sod!!! Not surprisingly this track was cut from the aired show!!!!

Haven't you ever heard the outtake "Dumbo"?
Those lyrics are even more dated.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

Ummmm...no. Soft and Wet is on For You. Bambi is on Prince.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
