All my love and gratitude, Christopher I don't know about Prince (certainly I hope he responds to you), but my heart absolutely goes out to you.

yeah, i wrote him back in '83
but it wasn't a reply that i got just an invite to The New Breed fan club which i joined and got some great stuff in return it wasn't until '96 that i wrote to him again he was very openminded at that time at least up until '98 i believe there are many reasons for the change but really we may never know the last time he replied to me (in '98), he said something like "don't write me anymore" so i didn't i saw him again during the early rainbow children days he looked me in the eyes to show he saw me, then looked away i still go to his shows when they come my way but if he has anything to say it's through his music ("love," "lion of judah," "PFUnk," etc.)

it's never occured 2 me 2 write 2 prince - i would never expect a rely - he's way 2 cool. Was the letter from Billy Husney, I think is his last name? Anyway, he grew up near me...we all were dancing in the same clubs as teens. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I have Cerebral Palsy and am in a wheelchar. Tame, I will post the letter as soon as I find it on my computer. Bless your heart...I can't wait to read it. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Bluefuish, I posted before I read the letter...that is so sweet....
I love when you said that Prince elevates your soul...That is such a beautiful understanding, coming from someone forced to sit...The ability to walk and dance, can be taken for granted. Just to mention...I played 9 ball on a pool league one year, with guys in wheelchairs...they made me so mad...cuz they cleaned up the table faster than anyone "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

After she got onstage with P, my daughter sent thank-you letters to all the bandmembers in care of the Paisley Park address. She never got any responses, but we don't know if the band ever got the letters, either.
Speaking of letters, my daughter also sent a letter AND a DVD to our president. She never got a response from him, either.

That's because the President doesn't know how to read, and doesn't know what a DVD is.

Tame said: Have you ever written a fan letter 2 Prince?
I remember writing Prince in 1983, and again in 1985...and on both occasions I recieved a postcard in return. The first one was a black card with Prince on stage reaching for a rose. The second postcard was a little bigger with Prince on stage in white lace from the Purple Rain era. Have u ever written Prince and if so, did u recieve a response? OH MY GOD! Me too. I wrote to Prince back in the DAY and I got the post card with the Purple Rain shirt on it. I later took a picture with it for the local news paper and it wound up on the front page. How crazy is that??? 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Thank u so much Tame and all the others who have spoken so kindly of my letter. I really appriciate it. I was kind of at a loss for words as to what to write...at first my mind was overflowing with flowery language and hundreds of over-the-top compliments that would've made me sound like a fanatic. I took a deep breath and thought: Write like Prince. Simple, candid, honest. Heartfelt, but not overdone. Respectful. I hope that's what it comes off like. ā€ˇhttps://www.youtube.com/@PurpleKnightsPodcast

Okay I feel weird posting this because I guess I was the only one that got this result. Anyway, I wrote to Prince when I was 8 years old going on 9(in 1992). I don't remember what the letter said but in it I included my school picture and my birth date. Well, 3 days before I turned 9 I got a package from Paisley. Inside was one of those venue posters(you know the huge ones in the frames outside of a show?)from the Act 1 Tour...one of the coolest things that had ever happened to me...
