Fact is dat 4 15 years songs somehow get outta the Vault & reach bootleggers, & eye really wonder if any1 here knows how this happens & who steals the songs. Please answer only if u know something 4 A FACT, cuz eye'm sure we all have our i-d about it, but eye want 2 know if some1 actually KNOWS something about it...

Still, maybe some1 who knows will speak, who knows...

I know as many others may do that the black market is a big one. Some people are really bootleggers for profession and make great money with this. At home they copy recordings in masses.
Some artists have a big fanbase and are very popular.
I have lists of all the concerts during several tours which have been recorded. From poor quality till excellent quality.
I knew a guy who had 2 little sennheisers microphones on the shoulders and visited and recorded concerts.
Most spectular is it when people get recordings direct from the soundboard ,as i reckon the small club is one.
Soundtechnicians and other employees can be in this too.

I think they need to add this to the prince.org FAQ.

Anyway, in short, basically anyone handling those songs for whatever reason can and in most cases will make a copy, be it with or without explicit permission and take it home. More copies get made and eventually it makes it to the hands of someone who will pass it on to a bootleg company.

Prince like Most Musicians gives out Tapes too Friends,Family Members,etc..&one Passes it down like a COllection plate&it goes from there.

some chinese guy gave me some outtakes. If you see him, tackle him. Maybe he'll have some more.

Until we identify which Chinese guy it was, we'll have to assume that all of them could be suspects.
