Lisa could have kept up on keys and Mark definately could have. I always wished Lisa and Mark was still in P's band in 87-88. well lisa couldn't have brung the gospel flavor that boni did but then boni could have been a back up singer but as 4 the jazz stylings, not sure lisa would have fit in mark i'm not so sure but levi put his thang done on it as well and the personality was sho nuff there man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

She was very good. P has since said that out of all of his keyboardists, Lisa was his fave. I think if Fink was able to hang during 87-88, Lisa was capable as well. As far as Levi, he had a good aura, sure. But I don't believe he was the bassist Mark was. Definately not when it came to funk and rock. Jazz I think was Levi's thing more than anything else. I know Mark could play jazz. Cuz he was doing it during P's jazz thing live on the Hit and Run tour. Better than Levi at jazz? I don't know. I just know Mark was bangin' on bass. Sheila better than Bobby? No brainer. Although Bobby had a good pocket. He wasn't as "busy" as Sheila so on some things, I think Bobby was better suited. I like Levi, I just don't think he was on Mark. Even for the jazzy material during 87-88, I believe Mark could have handled that. I just favor Mark and Lisa. I'm definately biased. I think Lisa would have held it down in the 87-88 group. The live version of "Mountains" from 86 has Lisa playing some quick jazz passages at the end of that song. She also played piano on "Power Fantastic". That song has Miles written all over it.

Good example Spyz. Also the b-side from Mazarati "Champagne Saturday" has Mark slangin' some jazz fusion type bass licks. Along with P on the guitar on that track. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

See, I know he was going out with Sheila in '85-'86. I didn't know it lasted that long (till '88-'89). I also know of strong rumors of him and Cat at the time of the Lovesexy tour, which is why I asked. The hands can be interpreted as him being more strongly linked to Cat, thus the tighter grip, or that he is more comfortable and playful with Shiela, thus the finger play. Makes one scratch their head looking for a definite sign doesn't it?
