A sad thought Don't mean to bring you down but recently when it was snowing here in London (unusual) I was playing 'Sometimes It Snows In April' and for some reason I remembered the tribute concert to Freddie Mercury of Queen in 1991. I started wondering if the worst were to happen to Prince, do you think there would be a tribute concert and if so who could fill Prince's boots (I mean ... high heels!)in this day and age? George Michael did a reasonable job for Freddie but whose name would you put forward?

Oooh that is a sad thought.....I would like to see Alicia Keys and Beyonce there, since I think that Alicia is the female equivelant to Prince (give her a few more years). But I can't think of any other male musicians that could do it any where near as good as Prince.....mmmmm,maybe Mika,a little bit.

Very sad, indeed. I don't want to think about such a tribute concert. But speaking of the song: Have you ever listened to "Sometimes it snows in April" performed by Soulounge? That's a Funk and Soul live project from Hamburg/Germany. Singer Astrid North from Berlin based trio Cultured Pearls sings that version. Wonderful cover. On the booklet she refers to that song as to the saddest and most beautiful ballad ever. Take a listen if you can and try to cheer up - for springtime was always our favorite time of year.

I Love Queen...and never had the chance to see them in concert...The band and Freddie's voice is amazing...
I try to hope that I will die before, going through that. I don't believe any singer could do anything other than a tribute...I am sure many wonderful talents would gather around, and play their heart's out for Prince...And I am sure that will happen much later than sooner...although, I have had those moments of sad thinking myself. It's not morbid to discuss things like this. It's a fact of life.
Tomorrow is not a given. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Tomorrow is not a given. Apart from when it's something bad.
