I'd go, but I'd like it to be at a club, not a huge arena.

Yes! I have been posting for at least a year that I wish Prince would do an acoustic/unplugged tour (and album). Not sure if I'd want it to be jazz, I think I'd rather hear him reinterpret his own back catalogue. I'm picturing like Reflection on the Tavis Smiley show (but without Wendy!).

Anx, where you at--I know you always post the acoustic thing, too! biggrin

Yes. And as another Orger commented, he could always break out with a funk tune too and really drive the venue crazy.

He went all Jazz/Instrumental 2001-2003 & it was the best thing he'd done this decade!

Hell yes! If it's music we can use it! says Cameo. And no matter what kind of music it is, Prince cares enough and is talented enough to bring it!

Heck Yeah!! The best part of the 2004 Musicology Dvd was the acoustic section. I just loved sitting there and watching him play. I was hypnotized!!!(Especially when he sang On the Couch!! horny)

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Yes!
I like the songs that have a smooth, jazzy sound to it.

I think that is why my fave album is Emancipation... Sex in the City, Emale, Joint 2 Joint all have that laid back smooth sound.

I have heard a few cuts from the Madhouse project... what I heard sounds really really good.

I also like Damn You... another jazzy cut. I would really like to hear more.. especially if Renato is on keys...

IT HAS TO BE RENATO! I was digging his "intermission" tinklings on the keys. I was thinking, "when is this dude going to put out a solo?"

Andy, no no no! all of the music can't be funk, funk and more funk. Sometimes you got to slow down... ya know?

BTW, what is your new avatar?? I always love to see what your latest "look". batting eyes

Actually, y'all know if he covered a Hannah Montana tune, we would all look at each other wondering what was this new funky fresh sound and then when the hook comes out, we would die with amazement that Prince could make that shyt sound that good.

He'd also need 2 get John Blackwell or at least Kirk Johnson. Either Sonny T or Rhonda Smith. Candy Dulpher, Eric Leeds, Greg Boyer and he need 2 get a trumpet player in there 2!

Yes Candy! And Eric AND Maceo (who happens to have a great trombone player and trumpet player in his band)
