I just saw it again & I dig it even more. It's a definitely a grower for me.

I think the little "conversation" between Prince & one of his background singers was staged. The whole think was about 3:15, that's not a whole lotta time to for Prince.

I definitely think they should've cut the second guest.

I think Prince's pain is the fact that he's doing the best he can and it's no longer any good. That must feel horrible, no wonder he pays attention to other things like fan sites -- it gives him a way to try and feel in control, since he's no longer in control of the one thing he used to be good at, making music.

Now he's not good at that anymore, and he's pissed away so many years, collaborators, relationships, and now he's old and alone. Money or not, it must suck to be him. I bet anything he'd give back all that money if he could just be able to make good music again.

And what a sad, American program to perform upon. It's telling that Prince apparently thinks Jay Leno is the spot to go when he wants to hit the American airwaves.

Performances, and songs, such as this (when taking into consideration his studio output for the better part of twenty years) should bring into focus how Prince is not a genius, just a talented pop star who had a nice run from 1980-1987. He dampens his legacy with each new outing and album.

And I guarantee his upcoming festival show today will be nothing by a boring, by the numbers hits review.

Seems to be a split of opinion on this one. Will have to try and get my paws on a copy of it.

Still waiting for it to air on the West Coast... I am nervous for the performance since you all seemed to be split down the middle... I'm out here in Coachella and his set is less than 24 hours away... Its been said before, but Prince really needs to bring something more electric or experimental at Coachella rather than his current '70s soul vibe.
