Imagine an unplugged album

A year or so ago I read that Prince gave Michael Jackson some advice (don't know if it is true or not) about how to get 'big' again. He advised him to perform an acoustic concert.

Do you think a live unplugged album by Prince of his greatest hits, some rarities and a new song or two would sell? I think it would be a great way for Prince to reach new people, introduce his music to a younger audience. Personally, I'd also be realy interested in hearing some of the songs being redone. Any thoughts?

I saw P on mtv unplugged, he was amazing so yes an album would be brilliant. One of the songs he sang was cream, it sounded great, so more of hits unplugged would be welcome.

You mean because he ( or she ) doesn´t seem to know that Prince has already released two semi-acoustic albums, The Truth and One Nite Alone (piano ) ?
I guess that´s not the same as releasing his greatest hits in acoustic versions.

I like most of his acoustic versions, and the acoustic set during the celebration 2002 was one of my favorite Prince moments, ever ....but somehow some songs sound a bit different than , say, twenty years ago.
Does he still play the same chords and melodies or does he improvise most of the time ? I mean, when he would play Strange Relationship or Sometimes It Snows in April in the 80s, you could clearly recognize the song by its melody but these days it sounds as if he´s playing totally different and very improvised on whatever instrument he chooses and I only recognize the songs by their lyrics.

Is it just me ?
