So a different kind of English. Color=US, colour=UK. Prince's song is called Tamborine. Your turn! You're right with that - the same as Theatre and theater etc. but I think Tambourine is the same both sides - Even Bob Dylans Mr Tambourine man is spelt with the U - and he was raised in Minesota as well!!!! I think Prince has chosen to mispell it deliberately tho. What can not be taken away from you is that no one other than you and Flowerz picked up on the way Prince spelled it!!! Tambourine. The funkiest tightest P groove. I'd like to hear him do a hip hop tune using it as a sample. I'm sure somebody else tried and had it kiboshed by P.

What the fuck does that mean though? my interpretation: I don't care for 1 night stands (as it states, I don't really care for these 1 night stands) with Trolley cars (tramps, coming and going) that juggle 17 (juggling all these women) I just want to settle down (instead I prefer to settle down with one) and play around my baby's tamborine (and just play/make love with her). interesting

Both fantastic Prince songs and favourites (is that a UK "u" again??! ) of mine (no surprise, as I'm a drummer!), but if I had to go for one it would be Dance On.
Tambo(u)rine is fantastic, quirky and just has that old Prince mystique and ambiguity about it (metaphorical language and lyrics that can be interpreted in a number of ways). Dance On is more straight-forward lyrically, but has a great message to the lyrics and still delivered in an imaginative way, but the music is far more complex, with a more engaging, unique rhythm and wonderful studio trickery with samples and effects. Hence, it gets my vote ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

"Dance On", while a great song all around, lacks the continuity of the former.
