If P's new album was like F.U.N.K... ...that would be his best album since forever.
Or a solo Camille album would be even better...

Meh. It's nothing special. I would prefer (if we're talking pure fantasy/speculation) that he save that stuff for online release or some other form, and go back to his poppier 80's sound Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Volitan, when you say..."80's sound..." Do u mean the band that accompanied Prince...Or do u mean the sound that technology could reach at that time.?
What is it about the 80's that makes u like that time period? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

This reminds me of Prince's 1993-'94 era. Stuck like glue!

What is it about the 80's that makes u like that time period? I don't know. It's just the keyboard sound, mixed with the drum machine sound. And his songs were so much more varied. He was doing everything in those days, and it's that material that made me realize his versatility. Computer Blue, Darling Nikki, Paisley Park, Girl, Raspberry Beret, just to name a few, are all totally different songs and different styles, and it just seems like there were no boundaries in those days for him. But later he started sticking to either Rap (Gett Off), or Rock (Chaos and Disorder) or Funk (1+1+1=3) and stopped blending them. Don't get me wrong, songs like Gold, and Morning Papers and songs like that are great, but those are like diamonds among all the other BS he put out. Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

I dunno, Gett Off is one of my favourite songs of the 90´s, it has an edge and a funk that is sublime, not to mention the totally I wanna FUNK the taste out of your mouth lyrics, plus it is probably the best dance track P released in the 90´s, although that is a matter for serious discussion If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

There's an energy & spirit to FUNK that hasn't been heard in a Prince song in a while. Therefore, it was probably a fluke & he'll be releasing the usual substandard crap on his next LP.

To say a positive comment is beyond you or not? If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I hope Prince does more funk/dance songs like "Love" & "F.U.N.K". Or ballads like "Somewhere Here on Earth". Stuck like glue!

Nobody knows if it'll be back (although it looks extremely doubtful) and we have no idea if there are any plans for Prince to launch a new site. F.U.N.K was Prince's reply to the PFU action. PFU was set up by 3 of Prince's fansites to fight the threats and takedown notices that they received by Mr Nelson's henchmen, Websheriff. Hope this helps... I'm not stopping. I think it was dragged out of the vault, reworked a little and released when all the PFU stuff kicked off. I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

Or a solo Camille album would be even better... Well, definitely.....YES! I want a Camille album to pop up in stores in a limited edition (this is fetish), with a peach monochrome cover and the name CAMILLE written on it and tha label NPG on the side. Back cover with tracklist (8 or 9 tracks is enough). And then a 2 month tour in Europe!

I'd love for his new album to have a funky "Housequake" feel to it.
I would die a happy woman.
