It'd involve a flux capacitor & speeding up to 88 MPH.

Otherwise, Prince will remain musically irrelevant if he continues on his current trajectory. A once great artist who puts out bland junk instead of hot funk.

Why on earth would you want to go back in time to the days before the internet
though , then there'd be no websites for you to troll on , and god forbid you might actually have to get a life ?

I've got a life, thanks. And unlike some, I'd rather not spend it worshipping some borderline has been who couldn't give a crap about me & would sooner sue me than write a decent song.

royalshyness, like wow man! Good job you weren't born in Germany during the last century you little 'Hitler Youth Wannabe' you wink Your post was a little over the top though wasn't it. I mean lots of people have love in their hearts, so to speak, but just because they're not into Prince's music doesn't mean they are blinkered or even missing out. It's horses for courses in this world, floating boats and all that.

Anyway enough of the extremism as it only leads to suffering and hurt. Why bother to wake people up to Prince? I'm happy enjoying him and that's all that matters to me. You all enjoy him too so that's handy what with this being a Prince fan site and all.

I tried to understand infinity but to be honest since the drugs my concentration is not w

Sorry if I sound harsh, but I think Prince should make music to please himself first of all. That's how you get true creations from artists, that reflect what they have inside.
Well that's how I see it.

Well then, why is it for sale?

Prince is for me. I've gotten too old to try and make someone like what I like. Sure I'd love for others to get it but if they don't it's their loss, not mine. As long as I like it, that's all that matters. wink
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

If the person making the music is talented the song and the music he/she makes will stand the test of time you cant really force music on to people but in Prince's music you dont have to like it but it will be heard and gain fans everyday im young and nobody around me played his music often (most ppl i know love hip hop mostly but they dont think his music is bad) which makes him still musically relevant to todays generation aswell as other people, whether its his music from his Purple rain days to Musicology e.t.c.. and by the way there's a difference with being a groupie or as you say 'idol worshiping' and a fan what ive just said is that of a fan so dont get it twisted
AND OO yes it is great to wake someone up 2 prince

Yes, my 18 year old niece just recently became a Prince fan after watching Purple Rain. I was shocked, because just 2 years ago, she had a different opinion. Now she has gained some respect and appreciation towards him as a musician and his music. Maybe one day I'll take her to one of his shows, if he ever makes it to the East Coast, so she could have a better appreciation of his performance and music. I told her I will leave her my Prince collection should I leave this earth. He gains a new fan everyday it seems.

the hard-hearted and mind-numblingly negative starved souls will never wake up to him or his music.

its like trying to mix toxic oil and a pure fountain of water.

what they tend to do instead is troll his fansites for a few cheap laughs at his expense, cuz thats all they got.

No offense, but when I read this sort of idol worship, it's like listening to one of the teachers in the Charlie Brown cartoons. "Wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah." It hurts the ears of my mind.
I've got plenty of love in my heart. But there's a difference between being in love with someone's music & being a complete whore for it. Some people here would do very well to realize that.

Maybe the ears of your mind need a little cleaning on the inside...

Not if it means idol worship and the ludicrous deification of a pop star.

Because artists have to make a living like everybody else, but that - and producing something that's purely yours and for your own pleasure don't have to be mutually exclusive imo. In fact I believe that the product you are selling is even better for it, it's of higher quality.

Very well put. Don't worship false idols.

Talking of which, in the 10 Commandments it says even your slave should rest on the 7th day. Is that condoning slavery or just a product of the time?

Why do people always present 'big' when attempting to put across infinity? Why not infinitely small? Harder to find a picture I guess.

So Jazzmeup, do I need to smoke a big bag of crack first or are you gonna explain in layman's terms what you mean by the 'concept of infinity'?

Drugs will get in the way if you want to understand this concept.

Trust God and let love flow into your heart.

Then you will see.

It’s real.

Most people I mention Prince to either, go silent / look blank / look confused or say something pathetic like "Oh, he's really small isn't he?"! A lot of people just think he's weird, or seem to feel threatened by him.

It used to annoy me, now I just smile knowingly to myself and think "your loss!" I think it's always been the same with Prince though..... those of us who appreciate him are the lucky ones, and I don't think there's any point in trying to wake anyone else up to him.....I'm going to leave that up to him - I think he's got a plan biggrin

but i think he woke a lot of people up at the superbowl, & will be doing his thing at coachella...
i wish he'd take a chance & appear at glastonbury. rock out with his guitar, i mean really rock out - wake up the british youth & show them what music's all about.

Yep, your last sentence is spot on, I think this is THE time (if that's the direction he wants to go in) to really get his gorgeous little 'ass' out there, and show 'em All - as you say!! He could really make a big statement now, if he was more accessible - Glastonbury would be good I think!

Umm, it's ok, but thanks for your explanation. Not too sure who God really is tbh. I'm spiritual but not religious. I dislike and distrust religion. It's a man's word not God's. To easy to be misinterpreted either willfully, accidentally or whatever. I put my faith in knowing I do exist and that we do not have the answer yet on how it all came to be. That keeps my mind open but I refuse to have another man tell me 'the right way'. Politicians do that all the time.
