Assuming that this is some bona fide hint at some forthcoming, hopefully imminent, project, I'd love to think that it means a return to the synth (keys) based sound of his first five albums. A sort of back-to-basics after 30 years of releasing incredibly diverse recorded music.

He's been fiddling with it a couple of times of late with Lolita and Love.

Certainly, after so much band-based work over the past however many years, it'd be a great move to revert back to the absolute Produced, Arranged, Composed and Performed by Prince (without any asterisks) credit.

And it would also fit in with his back-to-basics, remember when the internet didn't exist, theme of the moment wink

The Rainbow Children was first made available as a download to NPGMC members in October 2001.

The Rainbow Children was first made available as a download to NPGMC members in October 2001.


He also released "Prince" in Oct 1979, "Dirty Mind" in Oct 1980, "Controversy" in Oct 1981, "1999" in Oct 1982, "Diamonds & Pearls" in Oct 1991, "prince" in Oct 1992 & "Crystal Ball" was originally gonna b released in Oct 1997. So yeah, a lot of Prince's stuff came out in October. wink
