It was on the radio this morning that the organisers are trying to get hold of Prince as ticket sales have been rubbish due to previous years bad weather and the crap choice of making Jay-Z the headlining act!!!!

I still can't see it myself. It just doesn't seem Prince's thing!

I can't see Prince in wellies disbelief but maybe he could use his box? It would be different, he's never done it so why not? Would blow the place apart biggrin

He could get a perspex one like how David Blaine did, and perform from inside.

No chance of getting muddy in that!!!! wink

NOOOOO!!!!! You're probably right, although he did mix it up at a few of the O2 shows I saw, my favourite being 7th august where he opened the show with a 20 minute medley on his own with an Electric guitar. That was a total one off though!!!

Where is Glastonbury? What city or state would you compare it to in the U.S? Sounds like so so good place to visit.

It's alot of old fashioned countryside in the south west of Engalnd. Old fashioned classic villages and Farms.

Can't think of any places you may have similar in the states.

The festival is actually quite away out from the town, in the middle of a field where you camp out in tents.

It attracts lots of crusty people that don't wash for 5 days while they're there!!! ill feeling ill

LMFAO, I was just about to post the same thing. I've been here since Day 1, and I think this subject HAS come up every year.

I wish he'd play Gastonbury, so the thread title will change for the next ten years to "WILL PRINCE COME BACK TO GLASTONBURY THIS YEAR?"

The V Festival is here each summer and then the same folk come here and leave mud all over the train station for us yuppy commuters to deal with! grrrr

Not me, I travel by car. Stafford or the other one? We go up country for V. Not this year though. Two years of being rained upon pisses you off a bit. And I'm not a crusty. There are plenty of ways in which to clean oneself. Muse are playing this year at V which is a bit of a shit as I was hoping to see them last year. Well at least I have tickets for Queen this October. Similar kinda thing smile

If u all check the list of artists set to perform - which apparently is now 100% confirmed - there is no mention of Prince. However... there is a Extra Special Guest TBC listed... For Coachella it was only announced a couple of weeks in advance... So maybe he IS at Glastonbury but wants it kept quiet... Time will tell... confused

Is wellies, some type of raincoat? And what would make u suspect that the field would be muddy that day? Is it usually because of England Rain? And if any mate feels like answering...why, did they stop the summer solstace concerts at Stone Henge? I realize they didn't want anymore damage done to the stones, however do they still have concerts at the imitation site?
