Before I came here, I came across a bunch of his videos. Completely by accident, I assure you. I wasn't looking for Prince videos.
This was the first video I picked out because I knew it was one of his more famous songs.

When he dances during that guitar solo, my eyes were glued to the screen. Ain't seen nobody move around like that... except maybe Prince (during the "Baby I'm a Star" performance at the end of the movie).
I've got a little soft spot for this video and no matter what countdown its on VH1Classic, I'll watch, even time my clock as I catch it at the beginning. I look at him in this video and there's almost like this innocence about him. That's probably the last we see any of that. After that video and the others from that session, he's a star

Probably the best lyrics he's ever written.

I've written several threads on songs from P's masterpiece album 1999. And this song is one of them. I definately prefer the long version. Man his "Mayday, Mayday" is off the hook. The prominent bass guitar added to this makes it soooo much more funkier than the album version. Great lyrics, great music, great crossover song. He couldn't And didn't miss with this. Hell, I don't doubt that many Stones fans couldn't get with this.

one of my favorites, its a classic and i luv the video, even though i found out somewhere that the song was actually a metaphor for a vagina, i wouldn't have even notice that
