Do sound a bit similar. However, Janets single came out before Mazarati's.

I just wrote a thread over in the Ass. Artists a while back pertaining to MZ's 100 MPH and the cut Player's Ball. I don't think P had anything to do with Janet's cut but I think he used to name check it at his shows in the past because it "sounded" like something from his hood. That being Terry and Jimmy. I think it was a tip of the hat to them more than anything when he would say "Who wrote that?". Love 100 MPH though. The intro and mid section is bangin'.

I don't really hear that much similarity to be honest. Other than they both have that classic MPLS sound from the time.

Something like 'Mismatch' by Apollonia is closer to 'What Have You....'. Or even stuff produced by Jesse Johnson, which is also classic MPLS sound. (Jesse produced 'Fast Girls' and 'Pretty Boy' for Janet too on the Dreamstreet LP).
