Shame on anyone that calls themselves a die hard Prince Fan but yet wants to make fun of Prince in regards to sexual orietation or even personal attacks.
Ive seen fans on this site make jabs at Prince so many times that it is SICK. This is a DAMN PRINCE Fan site and I understand why he doesnt trust some fans.

I have been "guilty", so to speak, of the latter. I think that being a fan of the man's music has nothing to do with not liking his particular fashion choice at a particular time. Hell, I have teased family members about clothes, hairstyles, past dates, etc. It doesn't mean I love them any less.
I think the problem sometimes with fans is that they think to be a "true fan", U can't say anything that is not totally positive at all times. That is just silly.

As human beings, we are allowed to have differing opinions on things. However, those who just bash for the fun of bashing are ridiculous and should evaluate their reasons for staying on this site, IMO.

My family have teased me mercilessly about my recent cancer telling me to 'keep them abreast of things' and we do all see the humour sometimes in the things he has done and said etc theres no harm in that. Its because we find him interesting.


its part of being close, I have often made silly scenarios in here about Prince depicting a daft charicature , but I love his music and would never say something personal, i dont actually care what he looks like but I am interested in the things he does as I find it a little glimmer into the person and process of the creation of his sounds

However I dont like posts that claim to hate him and malign his work and claim they are throwing awy his cds all that kind of crap, I dont understand why they are here in the org if they hate him so much. theres no room in a fan site for 'haters'.

I'll be the first person on here to say when I thought P has fucked up. But never about his artistic choices. I 'll favor some and dislike others. And I'll post on it. There has been many times when it's been me vs. this whole site when it comes to folks defending Prince on his shameful non participation with the We Are The World back in 85. That was a MAJOR fuck up on Prince's part. I'll state that shit forever. But what P wants to do as an artist musically or visually, that's his right and I respect it. No different with any other artist. I don't have to dig all of it and me saying so is no slight against the man himself. It's just my opinion.

I'm like this, I totally get what this thread is about 100% but the truth is, freedom of expression and speech is part of why this site is running. I dont mind people thinking what I like stinks as long as they are respectful in expressing their point(s), which is what I try to do if I find I'm feeling or not feeling something of his & when there's a thread for me to discuss that, then I will. It would be great if we could all come together and be united under one project but unfortunately, that's not realistic. I've accepted that not everyone is going to like what Prince does or how he does it. That's just how it goes. If I dig it, cool, I do me. If you don't, cool, you do you and vice versa too. We can all coexist together.

second its all harmless and in good wholesome fun. Of course being a fan surely means u respect and admire Prince and you wouldn't be so ignorant as to call him a gaybob or something and you'd surely know that he isn't and even if he was his sexual orientation is none of my business and has nothing to do with talent and the likes.

As far as not ridiculing him at all is pushing it. Everyone has made poor decisions that we may or may not perceive as poor but that is why we discuss, learn, and move on. Honestly, you'd be lying if you said you liked everything associated with this man. (i.e. graffiti bridge the movie, wedding feast from rainbow children, album fillers, planet earth and the like)

Prince has certain responsibilities, because of his fame, so his actions are even more important, especially how they are perceived.
