venue wanted for 40th bash that plays prince

Can any of you london orgers suggest a venue that either

a: plays prince music

b: is all purple and swanky but not too costly

c: suggest a good prince playin dj

Im startin to think about my birthday bash and have decided to throw a purple party but i want it to be somewhere funky and cool plus playing loads of princes sounds.

Any ideas?

cheers

Rent out Paisley park.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I did that when I turned 40 last August. I live in a small town in New Jersey (USA), so I rented a Community Center and decorated it myself.
- I bought all purple tablecloths and decorations, I put up posters and pictures from my own collection, including my "Diamonds & Pearls" cutout I bought from a record store.
- Each table had a bowl of Tootsie Pops ("...pimp rag, Tootsie pop and a cane...") with a picture of Prince sucking on a lollipop in it.
- Each table also had a different affiliate's pic on it, instead of a number in a holder.
- I hired a sound system and hooked my iPod up to it; my Prince/affiliate collection is big enough to keep the music going all night. music
- I also had a recipe for raspberry champagne punch and called it "Raspberry Beret Punch" and had it pouring from a fountain. biggrin

Oh! it was a costume party. My guests had to come as either a person in Prince's life, a "theme", or a song title. One rule: no one was allowed to come as "Purple Rain" Prince (to cliche). no no no!

We had a ball!
U don't have to spend a lot of money with some creativity... thumbs up!
