Would Planet Earth have been better if...

... it hadn't been released on MSN for the world to hear before it was in

stores?

..Maybe I should have worded the question differently...

The album is what its going to be ...

I should have said would it have been more successful had it not been released

to be reviewed freely on MSN?

The main reason I think it was a success was by giving it away free in the UK papers and then later at the 02 shows.

The amount of friends and colleagues that don't really own any Prince albums or weren't fans at all were all of a sudden calling me or coming over to my desk wanting to talk about how much they liked Planet Earth and what other albums do I recommend they should buy!

At least 10 people at work on the Monday it was given away did that. And they then went on to going to the 02 shows!

Can't be that bad!

The way it was publicised really got it out there and it's surprising how many people know of it or have it.

But not that many people like it....

sad

Without a doubt!

You have got it spot on in one sentence! (I tried explaining it earlier but your statement is so more to the point!)
