It's not AS bad with the white sandals and white socks, even though I still don't see the point in wearing socks with sandals. That's what sneakers are for. I know the airport is a pain in the ass. I made the mistake of wearing my lace-up combat boots to the airport and had to take them off when going through the metal detectors . If that's why he wore this fugly ass combination, than he could have considered something else, like penny loafers (eww, wait, never mind). Well, this isn't the same deal as 'Jesus Sandals' and socks (shudder)...
It's a traditional Japanese deal (not regular socks) but also they are amazingly comfortable (I lived in Japan for a while and a lot of people still wear them), not to mention air travel-friendly (foot swellage guys!) Personally, I think it's a cool look.   | |
