Sorting Question Ok...I'm a little anal, but I need your opinion...
Should I alphabatize my Prince CDs with the related artists at the end? Or put them in their proper alpha place? What do ya'll do? http://www.facebook.com/p...935246593a

lol im sure like alot of fans i keep my prince cds separate from all my other cds...that includes the related artists,cd singles,etc. | |

I sort by genre - R&B, Old School R&B, Rock, Jazz, Rap, Neo Soul, etc.
Prince is separate of course  with related artists (like you say) @ the end of his section... behind him in line... riding his dick... :O

I suppose it depends on how many CD's you own altogether.
I've got so much music, I have to keep eveything in strict alphabetical order (with each artists albums chronologically), otherwise I'd lose track of what I've got. | |

I have everything on an alphabetic, chronologic order! And it's hell when I buy some albums by artists with an A or B!
I have a huge amount of cd's and lp's, and yes I also keep my Prince, Zappa, U2, Bowie and Mariah Carey seperated. The rest is all packed in a huge closet and several disc racks. I have also seperated my cdsingles from the regular cd's

I have everything in my personal collection alpha and chronologic...so I think I might just put the related artists at the end (concidering I put Wham! w/ George michael)

I have all my CDs arranged by categories like male artists,funk bands,female artists,vocal groups,rock bands,etc.
There are several artists (Prince,Santana,Stevie,Madonna,etc) where I have every CD they ever made,so I take each artist and place all their CDs together.So,I have a whole section devoted to just Prince.I add his associated artists' CDs near his,since in many cases,he wrote and produced all the songs too. I suppose it would be sooo much easier if I just put all my CDs in alphabetical order,huh ?  | |

The Prince cd's are separate from my other stuff and I have all of his cd's in order of when they were released. Everything else goes in alphabetical order. | |

My CDs are arranged very specifically. Each of my top 9 artists are placed in the top shelves of my CD holder. Prince is certainly on top, with his CDs arranged chronologically. All other artists are also arranged chronologically. | |
