I've never 'met' Prince, but I came back from London last summer with the memory of a transcendent dance with him on stage at his Sept. 16 after-show.

It's well-known he sometimes invites people onstage to dance during performances. I was standing in the first row, right next to the stairs on the left-hand side, and, just in case, I had 'befriended' the security guard who was sitting there and agreed with him that should the opportunity present itself, he would give me a hand to help me climb up onto the stage.

There was no guarantee of course. But the moment came. Shelby started to wave to a few people in the crowd and invite them onstage.But she didn't pick me... Not one to just sit and wait for things to come to me, I just scrambled over the border of the stage with the help of my accomplice and off I went.

So here goes... I went into his territory... uninvited.
I hope he would forgive, if reminded...

I havent met Prince yet but he has looked me dead in my eyes. He stared at me at the House of Blues in 2004 and I was stunned. He has some great, big eyes. It was something I won't ever forget.

Wow, I havent met him but I got to:
1. Touch his heels when he was standing in front of me playing guitar I just had to. It was rather silly of me but I had seen them so many times on TV and they were right there and it was like "WOW, the boots!"... Also touched his leg. He had to know it was me because I was the only one doing it.
2. Take his guitar and hold it when he *ahem* handed it to me after a show and walked off the stage.
3. Reach up and have him grab my hand and hold it which felt like it couldve been forever but in reality was about 4 seconds! Still long enough though to make a serious impact. He smiled at me, I totally blacked out and cried when he let my hand go and other stupid people were like knocking me down to grab him almost pulling him off the frig frag stage.
4. Kinda had a situation like Emma1 cept he didnt say anything to me just looked but it was an afterparty and he had came into the club without any fans knowing. We were rocking hard that night to the music. The atmosphere was amazing. He was standing at the VIP door with security in back of me and my 2 other girlfriends. He was right in back of us as we were dancing on mini stages and shaking our When I turned around and saw him, he had on shades, dunno if he was looking but I friggin froze like ice. I was so overwhelmed by how tiny he was! He was still ultra hott though, my friends were shoving me so damn hard to go up to him and shake his hand or talk to him but my feet were like rooted to the floor. At one point, he was looking dead at me because I was like a deer in headlights while everyone else around me bumrushed him to no avail because shortly after that he abruptly turned and walked away from everyone who was crowding him.

I love threads like this. Its great to see who had experiences and what happened!

Oh yes, he was quite a gentleman. And I love the songs that remind me of those special moments.

In 1998, after his Paris show for the Jam of the Year, i was in a famous club called "les bains douches", where he was supposed to show up. Then I don't know how it happened but I found myself right next to him.We were shoulder to shoulder. he was on my left and I had one of his bodyguard on my right.! We just looked at each other & smiled. Nothing more. I was unable to speak.! he was truly and extremly beautiful. he was dressed all in black with gold glitters. his butterfly in his hair. No sunglasses.
4 years later, still in Paris for his ONA tour, I was on the first row, I winked at him, and he winked at me right after.. !! unbelievable! After this show I went to club called "le Bataclan" for an amazing aftershow, i was just in front of his mike. at a point he plays with a tamborine. We were clapping hands. and he then he Took my hand, and gave me his tamborine with a big smile. then he protected my hand to not let people take the tamborine with his 2 hands.
That was unbelievable. I could never forget that night.
And believe me or not, NO one else has touched the tamborine since that night.!!

I have been face to face with him for 10 minutes in a club in London. He was waiting for his car and I stood there the whole time not knoiwing what to say. he looked at me like "yeah, that's me, I'm Prince ! ".
I was just too shy to say anything really. And there were two bodyguards who did not seem very friendly as well which does not help.
Then his limo arrived and he left in one sec.
