Rorywan said: We (my wife and I) met him and spoke to him in the Indigo club last summer. He was fantastic. Unbelievably cool and very friendly. Little did we know it wouldn't be the last time that summer. He also came out to stand next to my wife on the balcony of the VIP section, put his hand on her chair. His security guy (also very nice incidentally) sectioned us off with prince on the balcony.
Then there was the purple tables, but that was another story. Lots of encounters in the Indigo too. Lovely guy, when you meet him you realise he is a real person, which makes his music even more amazing, he is a human being, not a logo. And he is very funny. [Edited 3/31/08 11:55am] That's really cool, I remember you posting something about this before? What did he say that was funny?

We were at the ONA tour sound check and myself and a friend concentrated on getting good seats as the door opened.... I walked down the middle and there was Prince standing on stage in front of me - lights up and nobody in front of me.... I just couldn't believe it and then he said Hey You Hello..... I just didn't know he was talking to me until I looked at him and he said Yeah I'm talking to you..... I just got my seat and my friend said you just blanked Prince he was talking to you.....
Oh my god..... When I think back I probably would have waved or made a fool of myself but I never wanted to blank him eeek! Even more a fool?? LOL! Funny story! I can picture it! Imago said: Sort of.
He was about 3 people in front of me at a Super Walmart here in Tampa having a fierce argument with the cashier about the price of the ground beef (apparently it's cheaper up north ). He held up the line for at least an hour. LOL, no kidding?? Probably beef was a lot cheaper the last time he had to go out and get it himself... you know, 30 years ago... before becoming a celebrity! If you met him tell me what happened and how did you meet him? i wouldn't mind meeting the man; he seems like the kind of person that once you get to know him, and he trusts you, you could have conversations for hours.

In 1995 after a concert I was standing with hubby on the parking lot at the back of the hall trying to see him come out. We were standing alone with a girl in a wheelchair and her guide.
His band came out but no sign of Prince. Sonny T and that cool bald cat, Morris Hayes stopped and gave the two girls a hand and chatted something. They were looking at us for some time. My hubby hesitated but wanted to shake hands too but I pulled him back and said, leave them alone, we shouldn't bother them, they probably want to go shower. I would have done the same if Prince came out, so I don't think I would ever have a chance to meet him. I obstruct myself.
