I class Vanity and Appolonia as white - and Carmen Electra. Of course there was Susannah (Wendys sister).

There were rumoured flings with Sinead, Madonna and Kim Bassinger so I think you could say he's had a fair good old go!!!!

I think I'm a young fan (25) considering he was making music for at least 5 years before I was even born. Been a fan since I was old enough to know what music was and knew that no other music would ever sound as good as his. Seen him in concert 3 times. Not bad going I reckon.

Working on my CD collection. Have about 30 now. Lots of DVDs and videos, a tattoo and more on the way! And a purple vinyl of Purple Rain in a frame. Would still love more collectables.

This does tell us that beyond all the pop culture trends and fickleness of the masses that young people can get into Prince's music, even though it seems they prefer his lesser stuff..lol

I find it amazing that Prince is able to reach such a young fan base. How are you guys, 20 and younger, getting exposed to this music? Is it through your parent's music collection, televsion video, friends, I really am interested.

I became interested in Prince after he released 1999. I was like 14 years old then. We were at a house party with some big speakers, it was quiet, someone put in a tape and jacked it up .... "Don't worry, I won't hurt you, I only want you 2 have some .... fun... "

It was kind of creepy, kind of cool, and when the music started and the song laid in, it was alllllright.

Up to that point, there was no ONE major mover of music that I followed. I sort of just spun on who ever was a hit song at that point.

Prince was the first artist whose music, in a popular music on the radio realm, that I had to have in order to hear the whole thing, not just the number one hit.

Before him, believe it or not, I really loved music albums from movie sound tracks... like the Bond music, or the Jaws music, or the Star Wars. I would sit and listen to those complete albums day and nite. WEIRD... huh?

So that's my blast from the past, and that is what makes me wonder how you guys are getting exposed to the music.

I was expose to Prince's music by my dad. He was a big fan. I have always loved Prince because it's so joyful and fun. My dad passed away in 1999 at the age of 30. I remember him everytime I listen to Prince's music.
