I have to get this album on CD. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

was one of my immediate favorite tracks on the album, and it also seemed one of the most 'Princey' tracks on the album. So it was quite a surprise when I found out it was one of the tracks not written by him. Weird, thats exactly what I thought I the time. I even remember saying to a friend, "You think Manic Monday was the only good song Prince gave away? Wait till you here this!" and I played them "Wednesday like a river". He was so impressed, he bought the CD. When I found out some time later that P wasn't involved....I kept quiet! .

RedKite said: Maybe it is simple as the artist inspires the song, Prince writes it, and then that is how Prince credits the songwriting. I could imagine that, Sheila being a muse for him, she has an idea or a lyric and Prince takes that and writes a great song. Without the inspiration it would be nothing so then Sheila gets the credit for it on the record. Maybe, but I know that many of the songs on "Glamourous Life" were intended for Appolonia 6, but then he gave them to Sheila because he felt they were "too good" for App. So Sheila was most likely not the inspiration behind those tracks, but maybe have been for the "Romance 1600" material.
