It is sad to say I have only seen Prince three times:

1. Jam of the Year
2. Musicology
3. That Tamar Hype - Pre Album That Never Came Out - Tour for $31.21.

I wish I had seen him more.

The early days I was quite young in my teens. Money was tight and tickets hard to get. ( I think Mom tried to get me Purple Rain tickets).

Then for Lovesexy I was in college with no money, again. (I should have had an off campus job).

But the other day I was thinking about all the great albums, and music, the style and concert videos I remember how frustrating it was when Prince would NOT tour America, or do the little hit and run things that only a few crazy fans would get to see.

Musicology tour was the best because it was designed for his regular fans.
Reasonable ticket price, 3 hour show, lots of dates so everyone get a chance to see him.

I realise that type of tour takes alot of preparation, etc. So maybe in 2008 or 2009 Prince will do another USA-state wide tour. Maybe 2009 when are this election craziness ends. We will need a party.

The Aftershow @ First Ave last summer made it number 30 for me & I am ready for 30 more!

It's sad that your heart can wanna go a thousand places, but if u just don't have the money or have prior responsibilities, u just can't go...

I hope Prince realizes that some of his biggest fans might not have been in the room. Because we were only rich on personality.

Although at that Tamar show I thought I was going to get crushed by all the crazies from the back trying to push forward to get on stage. I liked that show because I was on the side of the stage where Prince was and he hung out there all night. Otis gave my sister one of Prince's guitar picks at the end of the show. It was a fun night.

I'll never forget how I almost fell down the stairs and broke my neck because we were late and had floor sets and yes, I had on my cute, strappy 3-inch heels. Wasn't expecting the stairs....man, they had mad stairs in that place, yo . I totally underestimated the size of the building.

Never underestimate the amount of fans Prince really has. This little ass town in Northern Louisiana had the freeway backed up over an hour to see this man perform. It was fucking awesome. This town was soo small. I couldn't understand why he stopped at this middle of nowhere town before going to the Essence Festival in New Orleans, but he did and he showed us mad love. It was fire! Defintely the hotness.

i really envy those tht were able 2 check out the early yrs..
