Welcome 2 the Dawn...Regular Version As we all know, Welcome 2 the Dawn the acoustic version is the last song on the Truth album.
I for one love this song and think it's formed in the Classic Prince Anthem. In the same vain as Purple Rain, Gold, The Cross, and The Last December. My question is has anyone heard the "regular" version? Is there actually different version than the one we all know and love on the Truth Album? I would love an answer to this... MJ "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

MJ I believe the "regular" version of 'Welcome 2 The Dawn' may be a vault item, if indeed thre is such a thing as a "regular" version. As far as I know the above song is not circulating in any shape or form. Yet. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

I can imagine an all electric rock version of this song would be the shit. Fill it with some Purple Rain-esque guitar work and you have another classic. Though I do like it as we all know it, as well.

Likely the title track to the mythic album "The Dawn".

I'm guessing, but I am pretty sure that there is an electric version of the song. On the Holy River promo cassette, it states that the included song Welcome To The Dawn (acoustic version) is from the 4thcoming album "The Dawn". Why name it "acoustic version" if there was no electric version? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
