Thank you, I've made note of that. Questions interest me more than answers.
And yes, genuine enquiry can quell the desire for conflicts.

How would you define a genuine question?.. Just curious.

genuine question = a sincere inquiry that isn't based on presumption or laced with an alterior motive and definitely not rhetorical. open, pure, humble, innocent.

imagine if nations did that before presuming the right to play silly little provocative games and bomb the crap out of each other.

it starts in the home.

In fact, if I could ask Prince a question, it would be what questions does he have? What are the things he would like to have an answer to, and that at this point he doesn't - could be anything, something technical [music playing techniques] or philosophical [what's after death] for ex.

Prince...Do You believe that because your lyrix and your music has a strong sexual weave throughout your career that you are responsible for opening a sexual door in the music industry? If so...Do you carry guilt because of that aspect...Or do you realize as I do...that everyone is responsible for their own temples?

What comes out of someone's mouth is different than what their bodies participate in.

On a somewhat related note: I've often wondered if Prince intentionally arranges musical beats to mirror sexual rhythms or if the sexual rythms are residue from the lyrics?

confuse

When I was younger, I used to hate when guys would assume that "Prince fan" meant "freak". Now I don't think the same thing applies. Maybe it's because he & we have gotten older.

The way the lyrics are in today's music, I guess the case could be made for everyone. At least Prince was poetic. These guys now just come out and say where they're going to "lick and stick" and how they're going to do it point blank. confused

nod

biggrin when I was young listening..the sound of his voice told me what he was sayin'/singin' was dirty/sexy/..even if I didn't at that time understand all he was saying.

****What i dig is how 'Darling Nikki' the music sounds like havin' 'sex' an orgasm...****

2 me what makes Princes songs like 'Let's Pretend were married/Dirty Mind'..etc.etc.soo' is the simplicity of how he uses his words..how he says simple things and he owns them and he has that way of making it sound sexy/dirty/romantic/nasty..... it's so simple it's crazy. on 1999 he wrote he didnt want 2 b a poet..but it's in him fo' sure. he's just real. can u relate?

http://prince.org/msg/7/264422

I'm not sure either..but Ive always thought about that as well. wink

Prince..would u elaborate for us please?
