In America I live in PA I'm to impatient to wait for it to ship here i saw purple rain ar bestbuy the other day but would walmart have them? Purple Rain is EVERYWHERE... the only place I didn't find a copy was at Circuit city it's pretty bad when the only thing they have in stock relating to Prince was "The very best of..." I'm from PA as well... and the majority of my collection, I got from FYE... at 2 different locations... where I live now in the Poconos and where I used to live in Bucks County about 1/2 an hour from Philly... the only problem is the fact my local FYE doesn't restock so once I was through, they never recovered My suggestion is just go to any Best Buy or FYE near you and just buy them out!! Grab everything you can afford Then you can go online to find the rest. I've heard that eBay is ur best bet. Amazon.com is good... but it might be a problem for some my dad tried them to get Emancipation and they didn't have anything... Also if you find any albums used, those are a safe bet... don't let that scare you away. I got The Gold Experience, Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic and Around the World in a Day used and haven't had any problem with them. Happy hunting had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

FYE, costs more than most of the other music stores. Try purchasing from Best Buy first, then Circuit City if you have either of those. Also for any titles not in stock....you can order them online or at any Best Buy store and receive your order within one week. I've ordered three times from Best Buy and received my order within a few days, super prompt shipping for only $2 or $3.

when you're desperately trying to catch up on Prince's music, money should be the least of your worries. although my whole strategy for choosing my albums carefully was a scheme to save the amount of money I spend on him If you find something rare that you might not find anywhere else, u gottsta to grab it while u can. FYE has had the best selection in my case. Best Buy depends but i think my dad tried there for Emancipation and had no luck... its hard when a lot of albums are out of print... so you really cant be too picky. I say deplete every local wrecka stow and then go online to the places people suggested had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

As far as spending money on Prince's music and other items through the years, let's just say that money was never an issue. I've paid up to $250 for an lp back in the day. Crazy....perhaps. I don't collect any longer but I do have all of Prince's music!!

best buy USUALLY has a good selection....ebay has ALWAYS had all the cd's he made. and from time 2 time, a few he didn't. he's no good to me dead!

I don't collect any longer but I do have all of Prince's music!! Yeah, I knew what you meant but there was no way I was gonna take any chances of certain albums not being there when I'd return. Like The Gold Experience... after seeing L4OA, I decided to consider it and I'd get it if I saw it... despite it being used, I wasnt gonna let something that rare get away... one of more expensive purchases, but completely worth it. Other albums that are common are 3121, PE (for those who live in the US), ATWIAD and 1999, so you shouldnt have any problem finding those in most places had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. Check out these sites:
VH-1.com has a good selection and they are reasonable. You should also check out CDUniverse.com. They have lots there as well. If you live in Philadelphia, check out some of the used wrekka stows on South Street. I found The Gold Experience in one of them [Edited 3/14/08 6:29am]

Today at a pawn store I found the Beautiful Experience for $1.95, Diamonds and Pearls for $7 and Musicology for $7 also. Those prices are really cheap in Australia, I don't know about over there. Just check out any SH stores in your area that carry CDs, I'm sure you'll find some bargains or even rarities.

I highly recommend that you look for a used cd store in your area. Many of them carry new and used stuff. If you want to use the major retailers, I suggest shopping online at Amazon. That way, you get the free shipping. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Does no-one in America have straight record stores anymore? I keep hearing these requests on various forums about not being able to buy non chart albums because they only have a Wal Mart.
I buy most things online because of better prices, but over here HMV and Virgin (now Zavvi, ugh, horrid name) are perfectly fine for finding almost anything.
