I'm a former JW. I became 1 at the age of 20, 5 years after
my brother's murder. Death was scarry and the JW,s were
deep in the camping of "millions living will never die". That appealed to me deeply as well as the questions of
holidays, politics and other customs that we participate
in ignorantly. They were also strong on high morals and
downing the "lack of morality and adherences of the principals of other so called religions". I truly met
some wonderful people. However there stance on being the
only true religion and even their veiws on death, being
a state of nothingness, no life after death, always left
me unfullfilled. After being a witness for about 8 years
I began to voice my questions to others. I was met with
the response that I needed to study more and attend more
meetings. I eventually stopped going at all. Interesting
enough another of my brother's died this month and one
of my cousin's the relative who introduced me to the religion, told my deceased brother's wife that I'm now an
apostate, as I visit other churches and don't support JW's
They encourage members to shun me and use the scripture that
going to other religion's after being a JW is like a
dog returning to his vomit. Interesting enough a dog
returning to his vomit is a survival skill to not leave a
scent to leave his self open for attack if his weakness is
discovered. Sprituallity has less to do with religion and
more about are conviction to love. Anyone who claims to
love God or Jesus, cannot be serious about excluding anyone
from respect and love, and than bodly claim they're doing
God's will. JW's are firmly commited to tearing down everyone's else belief, a true sign of superiorty complexes.

My sister-in-law refused to join our family in a resturant
that included me, because in her time of grief and she
only studies as well, she didn't want to do anything
that she felt would displease Jehovah and leave her out in
the cold. Common sense is not used, when fear is present.

I know Prince has been going through difficult times with
the death of his child, divorce, death of his parents. I
however, don't believe that a man with so many god given
gifts, could join a religion that shuns everyone else
as well as being started by "just a flawed man" like the
rest of us mere mortals seeking to be the best we can.

I dont understand how people think jesus is God. Its layed out in the bible pretty simple to understand that jesus was gods son, or(Jehova's Son Are whatever u call your God).

if anyone is reading the bible looking to read where jesus says, 'i am god, worship me', then he's missing the whole point of who jesus is and what his sacrifice and humility really mean to us. that jesus never says, 'worship me' is no evidence against his divinity,
i. e., his being the son of god and therefore of the very same substance (or, if you like, 'god'-ness) as god the father.
think about this - what is a more effective way of teaching people: by telling or by teaching? jesus doesn't say 'worship me', but rather he humbles himself and washes the feet of his disciples. would any jehovah's witness care to argue that, because he washes the feet of his disciples, jesus is actually subordinate to the apostles? i don't think so.
the whole argument that since jesus never said he was god therefore he is not is invalid.

Also dont be silly people, hes to famous of a person to be going door to door, he will be sharing the truth like hes already started doing. through is music, at concerts, Celebrations, ect. why go door to door when he can talk to thousands all at once!!

Michael Jackson used to go door to door in the 80's.he did it in London in '85.You can't get any more famous than he was then.

Prince will have to do this too.

Micheal has always gone out to pass out his watchtowers. It became difficult once they moved to Cali.He began wearing disquises once in a while.
sorry if that was over your head...jump up and try to catch the point next time.

Since you know it all. Tell me Was the leader Charles Taze Russell the founder into the occult big time. Why do their kingdom halls have no windows? Hum. I'd be very careful. Anyway what's with all the hostility are you a JW. Don't take it personal. I didn't say I was an expert.I only know tibits that some JW have told me. They are so hush hush. I said my memory as a child when saying those things: I knew they do not say the pledge of allegance to the flag. I am right about the armed forces. and The blood transfusion thing. Now if they have changed their policy oh well I didn't get the memo. I was raised a FREEMASON I don't get emotionally enraged when attempting to learn about different religions which fascinate me. I happen to have a very high IQ. I made mistakes to see how many of you would come out of the woodwork. This explains the hostility that evades the whole sight. The tree is known by the fruit it bares.Since no one ever answered the other question the other many was a Liar. He never repented. I base my infomation on the truth not my version of the truth.Live life and love.

Oh and another thing Prince was raised in the church. One of his parents was a 7 day adventist and the other a Methodist. And lets not get into a debate over Seven day Adventist.Or if I spelled it right. Maybe I got them confused with the Bishop thing in my mind 7 dayers and JW are both very rude when they judge people. Judge not least yeah be judged... You did ask the question you already knew the answer too. But I am stupid.

Prince can say he is a JW, but I taint buying it. As a Christian, I believe you must "sell out" to God, and I don't think he has. He still curses, did so in June at Xenophobia. He still sings about sex, like on the Rainbow Children album when he asks what it takes to get the girl wet, and on the ONA album when he asks do you like it slow or fast, and "by the way, what's your name?". This does not sound like someone converted to me. Sure he has made a change, and I applaud him for trying to surrender to a higher power, but do it completely, not half way. The old Prince is still in there, and I am just not buying that he is as "devout" as he seems. Anyone seen him on the streets of Minneapolis or Chanhassen with his Awaken! going door to door? Or at the Kingdom Hall on Friday night and Sunday afternoon???

I know he is. I spoke to one of his employees and he said that he is really into Jehovah's Witness. So there really is no question.
