OK, I don't want this to be a 'fammy fam fam' thread, BUT! We've all heard about Prince's personality and character 'negatives', the controlling, unfaithfulness, and worse from lots of people... so.... where are the positives?

There must be quotes, from people who've known him well, who have something good to say about him as a person? If you've got any / know of any - post them here.....

Ok, how about I start? In 'Possessed', Alex Hahn writes that Levi Seacer? gets custody of his child, and Prince built a playroom at Paisley Park for him, "he always loved children". Nice

Well, the obvious one is his talent that he shares with the world and close to 3 decades of great music.

But as a person, even though I disagree with some of the things he's done as far as the legal stuff and fan access, I think he's a pretty good guy. I mean, by all accounts he is a God-fearing, extremely talented man who has somehow managed to stay mostly out of trouble for the long time he's been in the business. Unlike a lot of musicians today who you see drop down drunk or high constantly, he has always been a class-act in that regard. The controlling aspect, I guess I don't see it as a 'negative' because with all the craziness that comes with being a celebrity,I probably would be that way too.

Yes, I agree, I think it's a way of protecting himself, we can probably only begin to imagine what it's like to have the level of fame that he has, and all that goes with it!
