Which artist(s) would YOU want Prince to work with? There are a lot of artists out today and in the past who have talked about wanting to work with Prince but who would YOU want to see work with Prince, if anyone? It can be anyone, living or dead and they can be in any genre of music or whatever. [Edited 3/18/08 6:51am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

[Edited 3/18/08 6:51am] I'd really like to see him work with Orfeh. She has the most fantastic voice I've ever heard, and her style of music is similar to Prince's. (Orfeh.com)

I have to admit, I don't really like him but I would really like to see what Prince and Timbaland can come up with together. Tim's music sounds a lot like Prince in certain areas, I wanna see what he can do with the man himself. Would he make Prince sound completely new and different or make Prince sound like a caricature of himself. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. An up-and-coming young producer named Eric Hudson. He just won a Grammy for his production work on Ne-Yo's album. He's also the one who wrote, produced, and plays the bass & piano on John Legend's "PDA: We Just Don't Care". Eric also produced Kayne's "Flashing Lights".
Eric Hudson is a not just some flashy hip-hop producer; he's a musician who plays piano, bass, guitar and drums. I'd love to hear how he and Prince could make music together with Prince's experience & Eric's fresh ideas. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

It actually reminded me of Prince and I would love to hear Prince do something along that line. It would be banging! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I don't know who I'd like him to work with but I sure would love to have him do his own funky version of Lee Michaels' "Do you know what I mean" I just think he could kick it on that song.....though the lyrics are so so.....It needs some funk!!! and Prince is the guy to do it.....

This may make some cringe, but I've always wondered what Prince and Mariah Carey's voices combined could do. I mean, she can go higher than the last note on the piano, and I've read somewhere that she once hit a note even higher than the one dolphins can produce! Given that Prince himself can go pretty high, I wonder how high these two could go...
On the instrumental side: I'll repeat my pitch of a few months ago here for a little piano duet with Condoleezza Rice. She is an accomplished pianist. In fact, she was planning a career in music – until other academic interests came along - and took classes as a child/teenager starting at three years old, with the goal of becoming a concert pianist. She still plays to this day, practicing often and playing with a chamber music group every other week. In April 2002 she accompanied cellist Yo-Yo Ma for Brahms’ Violin Sonata in D Minor at Constitution Hall for the National Medal of Arts Award. It should be interesting:)...
