I was working for Round Table Pizza when Purple Rain came out. The restaurants had jukeboxes (in fact there were about 8 RT's in our district) in all of them, and Let's Go Crazy was hot at the time. Erotic City was on the "b" side... one day the owner heard someone playing the "b" side, and flipped out! He called the jukebox vendor and demanded that he remove that record out of all the restaurants tonight (it was like 10 pm) or he can remove all his jukeboxes in all the restaurants out of his restaurants tomorrow! The poor vendor was up till 3am complying with the request! |
