All disguises Prince used in the 80's when he was writing for other Artists.I think Prince should adopt a new name and release an album (perhaps on a Major if he could attract backing) to see if he can bust the charts still (while in 'disguise) Perhaps even using some 18 year old unknown as a willing frontman.

Not to prove a point as such (even though it would!) but just for the hell of it.I'd love him to set the charts on it's head, and then go "look it's me!! Had U!"

However i'm beginning to think P really doesn't give a shit about the charts at all anymore. For a while i thought he was dismissive simply to cover up for poor sales but the Rainbow Children was never gonna set the charts alight and with each passing year his music gets less and less commercial (with the exception of Rave which would have probably been a success had he released it 10 yrs ago 'cos it soundz about 10 yrs old.)

I really don't think he gives a damn.

why are some so obsessed with Prince being on a Major Label, Do you want it for Prince or do you want it for you, because Prince don't want it, he don't care, he's not concerned, he still travels all over the world with no air play, he still has a following, and people who love his music still buy his music, buy his bootlegs, fly around the world to his shows, go to the 7day celebration, buy his gear and experience the greatest music that is made today, Prince is satisfied, why can't you (I dig you better dead)just except it and enjoy the ride, we are apart of something that is unique, he is our own little Prince, not for the pretenders, but for the real live fans. I dig him better alive and making new music, Music that I can say to my neighbors, I have it and you can't get it unless you join the club, and when he comes to town, guess what I will have reserved seating for me and my club friends, and I will be invited to the sound check and the after Party and they will not. Screw the Major Labels, they screwed him and now he is blessing us.

That is kind of rude. Especially 2 the HARDCORE fans who dont have a NPG membership (like me), who'd rather have a fan club of his own (me). I think it doen't matter if anyone has a front seat, or sitting in the back row, or sitting outside the Park trying 2 listen 2 the show for just a couple of minutes when dead broke (me & my friend in July). Or just the fact of being at the Park talking 2 fams and discussing the music. I dont think it really matters if u part of the "club" or not.

If members of the NPG Club (not all but the ones who are assholes about it) are going 2 act as if they own all the songs he got in the vault, then u got another thing coming. Better join the club of ur spirit. And love his music, but please rave the NPG -- don't ride the NPG's ballsac.
