I buy most things online because of better prices, but over here HMV and Virgin (now Zavvi, ugh, horrid name) are perfectly fine for finding almost anything. There aren't many left. Tower was the last true record store and it left last year. I live in Dallas and we have 2 that are traditional record stores and about 6 or 10 independent cd stores (no records sold). The major chain stores (Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc.) have taken over as the music retailers. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

We DID he a record store. Rock Station, but they went out of business last week. NO ONE told me! And they had a big sale on the lasr day! I just found out.

I'm happy for you that you found SOTT and PR.
Also, porbably a stupid suggestion, but have you tried ebay? You can find almost any Prince album there for a fraction of the retail price. With the AU$ practically equally the US these days, I can get great deals. Things are so overpriced in Australia and there is no excuse anymore.

I go online - half.com or amazon.com since there is a short selection in stores. I just picked up a hoard of Prince stuff there - shipping shouldn't be a problem.

Dont ask where that sentence came from...just wanted to say it Are there any stores you can buy Prince cds from? In America I live in PA I'm to impatient to wait for it to ship here i saw purple rain ar bestbuy the other day but would walmart have them? Prince is a genius, period!

Better get all the Warner stuff now because the their whole Prince catalogue has been deleted. So what ever's left thats it. Most Prince stuff is his last three albums and greatest hits. The old stuff is not being re-stocked. __________________________________________________

i just got seven of his albums this past month off of amazon.com - all still in the package (except one, which i chose to order used). some of the marketplaces have really good prices for brand new albums - i always take customer ratings into consideration though. and shipping. HE'S COMING AGAIN

1999dontyouwannago, my advice to you: the best thing to do is to order half.com or amazon.com and patience will have to be virtue here. I just ordered a stash of rare Prince (Emancipation, Chaos and Disorder, Come, Beautiful Experience, Scandalous Sex Suite, 1999 The New Masters, and Purple Medley) on both - low prices, low shipping, may take a while but I got em. They're becoming more and more scarce everyday so I'd order them as soon as possible.

Hey! Its the first place i thought of off the top of my head! I HATE WALMART! I bought Planet Earth at Wal-Mart. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Most of my collection came from a revolving disc store, people bring in a variety of CD's to sell or trade. Some really good finds can be had there. Who would want to sell/trade?

Was in HMV in Leeds on Tue. They had SOTT, Lovesexy, Ultimate,Parade, 3121,Musicology,ATWIAD, 1999,Purple Rain, Hits/Bsides, D&P, and I think Graffiti Bridge.
We do not too bad in the UK for a selection. I live in Edinburgh and HMV carry Emancipation too. lol For about £2.99 Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p

One of the best records stores here in Moscow is called [out of all names!] 'Purple Legion' - no link with Prince. But still, this is where I get all my P. supplies.
Amazon.com can be good too, when my orders are not stuck at the Russian customs for weeks, for 'checks' I'm being told. They must like his funky music...
