on the purple rain film set, someone referred 2 the outfits as costumes. apparently prince was very upset & replied 'they're not costumes, they're the clothes'
back then was the look unique? - everyone was doing the frills & bling but his fashion ideas always left me scratching my head..but makes him so interesting 2 look at. & the way he looks so comfortable with some of those choices! so bloody bold & confident gets him noticed. strutting around like a frigging peacock! he is unique cos no other human being would wear stuff like it! And thts his cuteness. i agree clothes don't make the man, but in his case they've made an impact & statement about his personality, whether this was his aim is the question! i love his dress sense now..his suits (gorgeous shirts..) kinda say 'i've settled down a bit but i ain't ready 2 get boring' | |
