estelle played percussion in 1999 man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

During the "Nude"-Tour June - September 1990, Sonny T. wasn't yet in the band. Levi played bass, and Miko Weaver was the guitarist. I think Sonny joined in January 1991 (Rock in Rio), Levi switched to guitar then. I'm not sure if Fink was in the band after the Nude-Tour, maybe Barbarella joined since Rio? For 1992 my programme says: Prince - whatever Levi Seacer Jr. - guitar Sonny Thompson - bass Rosie Gaines - keyboards, vocals Tommy Barbarella - keyboards Michael Bland - drums Kirk Johnson - dancer/percussionist Tony Mosley - dancer/rapper Damon Dickson - dancer Mayte Garcia - dancer Mike Nelson - trombone Brian Gallagher - tenor sax Kathy Jensen - baritone sax Dave Jensen - trumpet Steve Strand - trumpet William Graves - disc jockey and for 1993, Act II (European tour): - whatever Levi Seacer Jr. - guitar Sonny Thompson - bass Morris Hayes - keyboards Tommy Barbarella - keyboards Michael Bland - drums Mayte Garcia - dancer Mike Nelson - trombone Brian Gallagher - tenor sax Kathy Jensen - baritone sax Dave Jensen - trumpet Steve Strand - trumpet The N.P.G. - Gold Nigga - era opened the concerts with an extra set. In fact they consisted of the Game Boyz plus the above line-up, minus and Mayte. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I have the video from Rio '91, will check if it was Tommy or Fink.
Also i remember of course Diamond & Pearl were an important part of the '92 concerts but not mentioned in the programme, i've seen two concerts in germany. Carmen Electra opened for some of these concerts, but was dropped later. Basically your list is great, what are your sources? @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Mr Hayes - Keyboards Sonny T - Bass Michael B - Drums Tommy Barbarella - Keyboards Mayte - Dancing Still the tightest (and best) band he's ever had... the one thing i will say about this crew.. dunno where they were singing, a live show when Prince starts singing 'Shhh' .. man, the whole band tore that song up.. instruments, background singing n all .. was all that..

I think Prince needs a rythm guitarist in the NPG the band is funkier with a rythm guitarist.
Bring back The Rev. Mike Scott.

Tevin campbell had appeared on the arsenio hall show with the NPG and sonny was on it and fink was gone. Levi had jumped over 2 guitar and they were definitely in the band prior 2 the rio gigs in jan of 1991 since there is a tour rehearsal of the rio shows floating out there, with tommy b and sonny t in the npg man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
