Prince succesful combinationalist?

Prince not only does nontraditional black styles but he also does R&B,Rap,&Funk.
He was one of the world's first combinationalists. Withthat, do you say his combination of styles is succesful.
Working up a purple sweat.

I get what you are saying Fluid. I'd say it is successful. Anyone who's still here after 30 yrs must be doing something right and I'd say Prince has done a great job in combining genres and making them his own.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Thank you. I knew that couldn't possibly be a word.

Prince has base in his bones.
Treble in his throat.
Style in his walk.
Blues in his heart.
4 damn sure, he'd have funk up his sleeve,
and hair under his hat. cool
