Partyman - very fun song

I went as Gemini that year of '89 thanks to the Partyman video..even had a purple boiler ( had to buy it in womens clothing damn it)..my shit was jammin thouGH. Went all night saying "all hail new king in town."

the more I'm getting old, the more I like "Arms of Orion" , the Future, Electric Chair and Partyman still kick ass

I think it's a fun throw-off pop album, transitions well off of the cohesiveness of "Lovesexy." That said, I don't listen to it very often. Occasionally, though.

I like it all except for "The Arms of Orion." I remember one review at the time of release calling it "a syrupy love song that only academy voters could love." Obviously the Academy didn't love it either. No talk of Oscars for that soundtrack.

Then you get songs like Electric Chair, Partyman, Vicki Waiting, Arms Of Orion and Scandalous. Even Batdance is great.
Come along, lets hear it for Batman. This is far better than some of the sub-standard 90's stuff

I listen to Batman a good deal. "Trust" and "The Future" are fantastic!

Vicki Waiting is one of my fav Prince tunes.

I don't even own the Batman album anymore.

"Vicki Waiting" is a gem.

I love Viki Waiting, Trust, Scandelous, The Future, Batdance, lemon Crush, Partyman, and Electric Chair is listen 2 able.

Arms Of Orion could've used a better arrangement.

Alot better than Grafitti Bridge I make that (other than Elephants & Flowers and a couple of others).

Lemon Crush is very fun
I'll take The Rapture in the Sex Suite over Scandalous the original any day,the spoken word bits sound so cheesy i reckon.

I listen to it when the mood hits me. I remember seeing Batman the first day it came out and when his name came on the screen, everyone in the theater went crazy. They went crazy for everyone. It was a lot of fun that day.
