Don't believe it yet.

Start to believe it when he plays a tour with shows of only the newer and/or non-hit material.
He is capable of doing so, just like playing shows like the shows from the Euro-leg of ONA. But will he do it?

I loved the ONA tour for that reason. I miss that Prince, just a sprinkling of hits, that was my favourite tour in years.

If he keeps recording new material that he decides NOT to play live on consequent tours, we will be subjected to Prince's greatest hits.
To be honest; his latest material has some gems, but he decided to rather perform 'Play that funky music, white boy' over great tunes like Somewhere Here On Earth on most his dates in London.
Prince is a nostalgia act. Simple.

This is funny; when I think about P hits only When doves cry, Kiss, Cream, Batdance, 1999, LRC, U got the look, Let's go crazy, Delirious, Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret, Thieves in the temple, Alphabet St, Most beautiful girl, D&P and Gett Off come to my mind

I mean, he could play songs like The beautiful ones, I feel for You, Controversy, Pop Life, Uptown, When you were mine, Endorphinmachine, Money don't matter tonight, Glam Slam, Adore, Play in the sunshine, Girls and Boys, Anna Stesia, Sexy MF and dozens of other very well-known songs for the hardcore or even the moderate fan. And I'm sure he will always play songs like Kiss or Let's go crazy in any of his concerts...

I mean, nowadays, in a P concert, give me Anna Stesia instead of D&P any day...

Yep Udo. I agree. He even said that when we were hanging out (back in the days 1989 when woerkum was one stone away from gorkum).

The latter is still true. Get in touch...

Let's just see what happens with the hits.

He played Little Red Corvette & Raspberry Beret during his acoustic set during The Musicology Tour. I think he played them during the synth set in London.

He played a short version of Diamonds & Pearls during the One Night Alone tour
