hmmm

the whole refrain is entirely about what God made...maybe not the verses so much

I was actually wondering if it would sound good being sung in Church or on a sound system at the Glam Slam.

When is that from? What year? What album? confused

Not sure of the stats on it. He is performing it live it sounds like with all the screaming in the background, but he is singing with his own voice harmonizing. A gem that I got from a website a while back.

It was use to open the Controversy shows. There was also a movie in the works also called "the second coming." From what I have heard it was similar to what Purple Rain ended up being.

hmm good point. i think it would sound cool with a gospel choir and maybe acapella if it was arranged well.

Let's not give Kirk Franklin any ideas lol lol lol he likes to 'convert' hits into hiphop gospel.

Just for the title I think 'Incense and Candles' belongs in a church

As stated earlier:

Jack U Off (The Priests need a song.)

Controversy (For those questionable looking choir dudes Who'll sing "Am I straight (snap) or gay?")

Sister (As stated earlier) The Nuns need a song.)

Money Don't Matter Tonight (For the honorable preachers out there with Mega WalMart churches who smile and lie. I'd like to see if the last name of currency is indeed on your birth certificate.)

Musicology
- (For the band who plays smooth jazz and top 40 when the church is empty.)

You Got The Look - (Every preacher needs his uh, flock and it might as well be with the ladies standing on the verge, um, I mean standing in the need of prayer.)

I Would Die 4 U. (Another moneymaker for the Rev to come out front and pass the collection plate while singing to the audience.)

I'm not a woman I'm not a man
I am something that you'll never understand
We take Visa but not a check
Here's your W2 you know what happens next

Cause U (yeah) I Would Die 4 U

If we're talking about "in the church" as in weddings or other spiritual events then there are plenty appropriate songs by Prince. If we're talking about during a typical worship service then I'll add "The Work" and "Everywhere".
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
