Prince's films So, I haven't seen 'Under the Cherry Moon', and haven't seen 'Graffiti Bridge' since I was little. I can't find them for rent in my area, so I was thinking of just buying them off amazon or something. Think they're worth it? Of course, I'd love staring at Prince for a couple of hours at a time in interesting costumes and all, but, ya know.... Just curious.

Under the Cheryy moon is a cute, funny movie. Its cool. Cheesy as all hell and the acting is baaad, but fun.
Graffiti Bridge...Run from it. I never bought it...but I've heard horror stories about how bad it is. | |

I'd pick them up as cheap as you can. GB is entertaining if you look at it as a long-form video, cause the music is great. If you have expectations of it being a sequel to PR, you will be disappointed. Cherry Moon, same kinda deal. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

UTCM is more or less a definate, althought it was blasted when it came out 20 yrs ago, it has a certain flare and humour.
as for GB  If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Ok, bought 'UTCM', eagerly awaiting it's delivery.

So, I finally saw 'Cherry Moon' this past weekend. It was so silly, and so odd, but I really liked it! He's so cute. ^^; And I love the album. The only bad thing about it was that his character died in the end. I found that unnecessary and a bit overly dramatic. [Edited 3/6/08 18:28pm] ~Glam, Slam, Thank You, Ma'am. I purchased Purple Rain on Amazon a little over a year ago so I could watch it whenever I wanted and I'm goin to order the other two on Amazon as well. Good prices. Life Is What You Make It... | |

I have all 3 movies and let me tell U...
PR: of course it is a classic, & everyone loves it. 
GB: The first time I saw it I was like  , but after seeing it a few more times I was like oh okay I get it. You just have to let GB marinate in mind for a whlie.
UTCM: It was cute... acting was horrible, I hated the girl who played Mary(Prince's love interest in the movie), and Jerome can't act to save his life, but it was really cute and Prince looked terribly SEXY in UTCM soooo... I say buy them. [Edited 3/7/08 19:26pm] | |
