retail price for ONA..live (did we know this yet?)

Got my new EW mag today and on page 74, listing the best Holiday gift solutions is a mention of ONA live.

'A three cd souvenir from Prince's spring 2002 tour, including his royal prolificness'rejiggered versions of Diamonds and Pearls and the Ballad of Dorothy Parker.
($50)'

retail set for $50.

So I guess we get the ($50) cd and the Piano cd for being a club member this year.

Well, eye don't think P is stoopid enough 2 sell us a CD set $75 when non-members pay 50. We're likely 2 have at least another CD...

Or 2 NEVER want 2 renew our membership...

Ur Choice, Princymbolwhatever...

Heavenly

doesn't surprise me.
$50 for a triple CD sounds like the right price.
and if ONA piano version was available in stores, who'd buy it for $25?

I'm not surprised at all. I just hope he'll give members a DVD, or something else besides those CDs, cuz he just made you pay a year in advance, and now he can choose to do whatever he wants, as long as there's no breach of contract.

I'm getting more and more glad that I didn't join this year.

Let's not forget though that the advance ticket purchasing, sound checks and after parties were also included in the price we paid for our yearly memberships. And,yes I know some of us sadly didn't get that in our town believe me I was one of them.My tour stop was Oakland,Ca and we didn't get an after show. But,I am one of the few who realize the man is only human and canbot possible do one each and every time. So,go ahead flame away...Get it off your chest so you can start to heal... smile

let's not forget there's a world outside the usa... let's not forget there are territories outside america the tour has not reached... let's not forget there are many members who will not be able to benefit from the so-called benefits of this fraudulent club... let's not be so self-centered... please

The EW story that mentions Prince $50 ONA Live! box set also mentions 2 other 3 disc box sets being released by other independent labels & they are priced at $29.99 & $39.99.
Now that sounds like the right price!

For English people I think 20 pounds would be a good price. 25 at most.

All of the people you can please sometimes.

Tom

If ONA Live hit the shelves with a $75 price tag, noone would buy it.

That's the purpose of the music club, to sucker fanatics into paying extra.

nod Absolutely! I wish people would quit thinking that they are paying for $25.00 per CD. The $100.00 includes the ability to buy tickets "hassle free" from the crap you have to go through with ticket master and all the scalpers. You get the best seats in the house. You get the opportunity to enjoy soundchecks - and even after parties should you choose to go. And for the past 3 years members have got to participate in Prince's annual Celebration which no other artist has! Think about it! It's not just about the CDs...that's only a small part of it, although I know everyone is excited to hear what Prince is working on next...be patient, he is an artist. He will deliver!
