But more than that, I think it's somewhat disrespectful to PRINCE and to prince.org/Ben. Especially in light of the recent PFU issues. One of the main points of contention between NPG Records/Prince/Websheriff and the fansites is the issue of posting photos of Prince. I am completely for fansites/fans being able to post photos of Prince with proper credit & permission of the copyright holder (e.g. photographer), but we have to credit them. I think that all these photo threads may be exacerbating the problem because:

a) people are not giving credit to the copyright holder
b) people post photos that NPG/Prince owns copyright to (which I'm 99% sure NPG/Prince/Websheriff would not like

The fams who claim to love Prince so dearly are actually going against his wishes and potentially endangering this site for everyone (fams, fans, not-fans). And that, to me, is disrespectful--to themselves, to the rest of the community, to Ben (org founder), and ultimately, to Prince.





I spend most of my Prince "on-line" time at Housequake now. I do agree that it's a little hard to "get in" over there; it does take some getting used to because I find that people don't respond to threads just for the sake of responding (which can be somewhat discouraging), but at the same time, when people do respond it's usually thoughtful.

Just needed to say something.

I joined this site a very long time ago now. All that time I have not bothered signing in and contributing to the threads, why? Well, to be quite honest the reason is because the things I read on here everyday interest me, make me laugh, make me think, and give me loads of interesting information so I haven’t felt the need to.

Past couple of days, however, I have been seeing this thread, and others, and it’s just not cool. I mean you guys are totally screwing up my daily routine.

I like my daily peeks into this place to read the going on’s and now you’ll have to get all uppity.

Come on, think about the fans, think about the little people, think about me, stop screwing with my routine.

Now look what you made me do, you’ve actually made me contribute…it’s a sad day, it’s a very sad day indeed. Yes you all should feel ashamed with yourselves….now hang your head in shame...that's for all of you.

I thought I'd raised some half decent questions in my previous post but not one person chose to follow them through. So does it beg the question that even when worthwhile comments are put forth still they garner no response? A lack of a reply to this will no doubt be the answer.
