It's something I can't help When Prince is the subject and no matter what song or album it may be, or even about the mysteriously amazing person he is, once I start, I can't stop until I've said everything on my mind.
My lengthy posts are in short supply these days because there's nothing being posted that I can talk about in length. (Though the "what should I get next" thread has warmed me up a bit and showed me that I can still post long).

Writing is something I've loved doing since I was 13, but I think this place has really awakened that part of me and makes me post the way I do. I never did it to get respect or to put myself out there or make people aware of me, but all of those things came w/o my asking them to.

I still get replies from people who think I'm , delusional, etc... and that's part of the reason why posting here gets the most difficult. I didn't deal with that first adversity when I first came but I think that once I developed my own opinions, those who see things differently decide that I'm not just some newbie anymore. I'm some crazy fanatical fam in love with Prince

I've got a new thread lulling about in the Artists community boards, but until I get another idea for a thread I can post in length, I'll try to help the "worthy/interesting" threads along

Ya know, outside in the "real world", people tease me and call me "fanatic".

-It pisses me off when people say I like the color purple "because of Prince". (Actually, no. It's been my fave since I was a little girl; I discovered him in college.)
- I get annoyed when people say "U're so in love with him!" (Again, Has anyone ever heard of music?!)
- Yes, I try to attend every show I can- but that's because being with other Prince fans is one big party!
- And my collection is big. I love music. (But I have a lot of other things, too.)

But on here, I found out that I'm not the only one. I haven't seen as many shows, I haven't done as many "fammy" things, I don't obsess as much.
prince.org is fun. Now, it's become something to get me thru my recovery.

I agree however it was only in UTELLUS did the idol threads go on and usually they stayed posting that mess there. there was a different section for every one



so don't generalize and say it's entirely the NPGMC don't forget the same peple who posted there were members everywhere, the bottom line is isn't much left
and even if tehre was something going on...criticism would be the forefront because some members behave as if they know it all sitting behind computers broke/mean and bitter.


well the upside is great friendships were made being members of EVERY PRINCE RELATED SITE.

so guess the good comes with the ba...hopefully the moderaters would be the ones to cut out nonsense threads.

your absolutely right and yes it was frustrating not being able to express points but we managed to still speak and make jokes if the mods at the npg were power trippin, then you had the members who would kiss the moderators ass and try to act like moderators themselves telling people what to do hence them finally having their dreams come true be be "in charge" as I've said before i would go to HQ to view vids,come to the org for a good laugh and chill at the npgmc to speak with friends in various states countries etc.After while it wasn't about Prince which I guess negated the original purpose of him perhaps using the site as a way to get out music and witness at the same time.Who knows in the end the place went to hell.I always have love for the org during celebration days this place was a plethora of information and excitement finally a chance to put a name to faces. So yeah it has become a bit TMZ like here but it's up to everyone to inject good energy here to balance out stupidity.

Many of the people who do stuff like that go back over to their areas and sooner or later talk about how there are too many "fams" on P:M&M and how scared they are to be in this section because of the "fams" and how blindly we "worship" Prince while forgetting that this is a fansite for Prince and that this is the spot for people to go buckwild crazy for Prince if they so choose to.
